Where I Was On 9/11

Sept. 11th, 2001. I was a junior in high school and sitting in history class starting a lesson, when Jessica, a fellow junior burst into the class. She looked in shock.

"A plane has crashed into the world trade center!" She yelled.

The class was in disbelief at the news of it. Mr. Hill, our teacher, turned on the TV and we watched the events unfold in front of us. We saw in real time the second plane hit. The rest of the school day had a heavy feeling, every student and staff felt the seriousness and deep sadness of that day.


 Little did we know our lives had all changed that morning and the world would never be the same. I graduated in 2003. I enlisted in the Navy in August 2005. My generation's war. The War on Terrorism.
