Fort Bliss Soldiers honor a fallen comrade’s promiseEL PASO, Texas — Soldiers dressed in full Army Dress Blues filled the front seats of Mountain View High School graduation ceremony on June 7, 2014; a unique sight, even for a city located just outside a military installation. As Lluvia Loeza’s name was called, the Soldiers rose to their feet and rendered a salute.

Lluvia’s brother, Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza, Jr., was an Infantry Rifle Squad Leader and Headquarters Platoon Sergeant in Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division out of Fort Bliss, Texas. He deployed with the unit to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011. Before leaving, he made a promise to his youngest sister, Lluvia, that he would be at her graduation to watch her walk the stage but unfortunately could not keep that promise.

Staff Sgt. William Berry a member of Charlie Company and a friend and comrade of Roberto, stated that, “Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza, Jr. was a loving and caring father and family man. His Soldiers held him in very high regard and respected his leadership and presence.”

Roberto died of injuries sustained by indirect fire on May 25, 2012 while serving in Logar Province, Afghanistan.

Roberto’s brother, Esteban, wanted to surprise their sister. He sent out a message through Facebook to Roberto’s old unit asking for volunteers to stand in his place. The call was answered immediately.

Though the majority of the unit is deployed once again to Afghanistan, the Battalion’s rear detachment known as Task Force Stalwart West led by the Battalion Executive Officer, Maj. George Chigi, along with Maj. Christopher Penwarden and Sgt. 1st Class Bernie Brooks, organized a group of Soldiers to attend Lluvia’s graduation.

More than 30 Soldiers from 1-4 Infantry Battalion attended the graduation. Also in attendance were several Soldiers from the Ft Bliss area that knew Roberto well including Penwarden and Sgt. 1st Class Jason Yeazel.

Lluvia was completely surprised by the Straight and Stalwart Battalion Soldiers who gathered in their Army Service Uniforms. Making the event even more special for her, Chigi was given permission by the school district’s superintendent to present Lluvia with her high school diploma.

Lluvia was just as impressive as her older brother; her discipline and drive earned her the distinction of the 4th highest grade point average in her high school. Lluvia’s brother is sure to have been proud to know that Lluvia’s efforts earned her more than $100,000 in college scholarships.

The entire Loeza family was overwhelmed with emotion. They were happy to see so much support from the Straight and Stalwart Battalion for their son and Lluvia. The families of the other graduating students were awestruck by 1-41 Infantry Battalion as it rendered honors to Lluvia, the family, and Roberto.

“It was a very emotional and uplifting event for us and the family. All and all we fulfilled a fallen Soldier’s promise and we did it with pride and honor and represented the 1-41 Infantry Battalion with nothing but the upmost respect and pleasure doing it for the family,” said Brooks, the Charlie Company First Sergeant.

As the 1-41 Infantry Battalion soldiers gathered to say goodbye to the Loeza family, Berry presented Lluvia with a Straight and Stalwart Battalion coin. These coins are traditionally only given by the Battalion Commander and Command Sergeant Major to Soldiers for extreme excellence in the performance of their duties. Lluvia was also presented with a Bulldog Brigade coin.

Under laws passed by the Missouri legislature during the last session, numerous school districts in the state are enrolling teachers to be trained in the defensive use of a Glock 19 semi-automatic pistol in the classroom.

According to Fox News, districts are availing themselves of Shield Solutions training near the Ozarks town of West Plains. These districts pay $17,500 to get "40 hours of training on how to use a Glock 19 semi-automatic pistol for two staffers."
The goal is to have two armed teachers per participating school. However, the identities of those armed teachers will be known only by "school district administrators and local law enforcement." Protecting the identities of those who will be armed models how the air marshal program has operated since 9/11.
Shield Solutions' founder Greg Martin--a former Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper--highlighted how keeping the armed teachers anonymous will prevent would-be attackers from being certain about where or when to strike. Stating that armed teachers would be "like air marshals on planes," he asked, "How many hijackings have we had since 9/11?"
Martin told The Kansas City Star that the few minutes that pass between a 911 call and the arrival of police during a school attack "is just too long." He said having two armed school personnel on campus at all times can step into that gap.

A 73-year-old veteran is being threatened with foreclosure unless he pays an $8,000 dollar fine – all for displaying a small American flag in a plant pot outside his Sweetwater, Florida home.
When Larry Murphree placed the stars and stripes in a flower pot on his front porch, he received a letter from the Sweetwater Homeowner’s Association demanding that he pay the huge fine within 30 days or be slapped with a foreclosure lien on his house.
“There’s an actual Florida statute that says he can display this flag,” legal expert Dale Carson told WTEV-47, an opinion backed up by federal law, contradicting claims by the HOA that Murphee is in violation of recently re-written rules concerning flag displays.
Murphee has been battling the HOA over the issue for more than two years, having already filed a lawsuit against the HOA and settled out of court. “They settled that case and I thought that would be the end of it,” said Murphree.
The veteran is vowing to continue the fight until he is left alone.
“I have a right to have it there,” Murphree told First Coast News. “They’ve got a foreclosure on my house that’s why the flag is upside down. (I am) hurt disappointed that they just keep going after the American flag and after me.”
However, if you thought the situation didn’t sound ludicrous enough, it gets worse. Murphee accuses the HOA of creating a bizarre new rule just to target him which bans the placing of “unauthorized objects” in plant pots or foliage.
“Now they’re saying they can say what can go into a flower pot and the American flag is an unauthorized object,” said Murphee.
First Coast News reporter Ken Amaro noted that the flag is “barely noticeable.”
On top of the $8,000 fine for the violation and attorney fees, Murphee is being hit with further penalties of $100 for every day he displays the flag.
Governments and local authorities routinely harass Americans for flying Old Glory on their private property, a chilling illustration of how the United States is actually beginning to resemble a nanny state.
Last week we reported on how a Texan man was told by his apartment manager that he must remove his American flag hanging on his patio because it’s a “threat to the Muslim community.”

U.N. Gun Confiscation Program Serves As Model For Gun Bans In America

A gun confiscation program developed by the United Nations is the ultimate goal of anti-gun politicians in America.
As reported earlier by Paul Joseph Watson, the U.N. is hiring a “Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Officer” who is responsible for the “collection, documentation, control and disposal of small arms, ammunition, explosives and light and heavy weapons from combatants and often from the civilian population.”
Although the U.N.’s Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) program is currently only active in war-torn regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti and the Ivory Coast, numerous U.N.-affiliated politicians are in fact working towards similar gun confiscation programs in America and have even been successful at doing so in certain areas.
During his tenure as mayor in New York City, Michael Bloomberg all but eradicated private gun ownership inside city limits, and gun owners even received notices in the mail last November telling them to surrender their firearms to the police.
He has also pushed for magazine size limits, bans on semiautomatic rifles, “gun-free” zones and ammunition fees, among other draconian restrictions.
But Bloomberg is now working towards the destruction of the Second Amendment in all parts of the country by bankrolling various gun control groups such as Mayors Against Illegal Guns, whichclaims representation in nearly 1,000 cities.
“It did not take long to realize that MAIG’s agenda was much more than ridding felons of illegal guns,” Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Mayor and whistleblower John C. Tkazyik said after leaving the group. “Under the guise of helping mayors facing a crime and drug epidemic, MAIG intended to promote confiscation of guns from law-abiding citizens.”
In advocating for firearm bans, MAIG’s mayors routinely describe their inner cities as war-zones no different than the countries targeted by the U.N.’s DDR program.
And it should be pointed out that Bloomberg is also heavily affiliated with the U.N.
In the same vein, President Barack Obama showed his support for an Australian-style gun confiscation program, which has striking similarities to the U.N.’s DDR program, all while claiming that mass shootings in America are “off the charts.”
“Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown,” he said. “And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.”

Rand Paul Proposes Legislation to Stop End Run Around 2nd Amendment

Senator Rand Paul is attempting to prevent the Obama administration from making an end run around the Constitution.

On Thursday Paul introduced legislation to amend the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for the 2015 budget.

The amendment would prohibit the federal government from providing funds to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or Department of Justice to target gun and ammunition companies.

S.Amdt.3359 to H.R.4660 will prohibit “any action by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to classify the sale or manufacture of a firearm or ammunition as an activity involving risk” and prevent “any action by the Department of Justice to discourage the provision or continuation of credit or the processing of payments by any financial institution to a manufacturer, dealer, or importer of firearms or ammunition, based on the fact that the business is a manufacturer, dealer, or importer of firearms or ammunition.”

The Justice Department is attempting to discourage the free exercise of the Second Amendment through its “Operation Choke Point.”

The FDIC is collaborating “at the behest of Barack Obama” with the DOJ to force gun stores out of business, according to Ammoland.com. “Already, scores of gun dealers have complained that their banks have cut their credit or otherwise put pressure on them.”

El Paso Police Officer Jose Flores shoots handcuffed Daniel Saenz from behind.

On March 8, 2013, bodybuilder Daniel Saenz, 37, was arrested after acting strangely at a local grocery store and mental health facility, apparently high on drugs. As he was brought into the jail the handcuffed suspect struck his head against something, and jailers refused to accept him into the jail without the bleeding wound being treated first.

The Mindful Patriot's Comment: While this article says that the kill switch is for stopping theft, one can only imagine that government when confronted with a mass protest or civil disobedience, would want the ability to stop live feeds, texts and calls from showing the reality of the situation and to stop further recruitment to the scene. This is a strategy used in war to thwart the enemies planning and staging operations. Those who control communications, control the battlefield. You all should be very concerned.

Google and Microsoft are planning to incorporate a “kill switch” technology into the next versions of their smartphone operating systems as evidence mounts that such features actively deter thieves.

Under growing pressure from public officials, the companies have said they will add mechanisms to remotely disable their devices, similar to one introduced by Apple last year.

Google will add a “factory reset protection solution” to its next Android system, the company said in statement Friday. Microsoft’s Vice President for US Government Affairs Fred Humphries in the meantime said his company will offer a new anti-theft mechanism in the next system update for the phones which operate its software, including those made by Nokia.

“With these additional features, we’re hopeful that technology – as part of a broader strategy – can help to further reduce incentives for criminals to steal smartphones in the first place,” said Humphries in a blog post.

Apple has already introduced a kill-switch for its iPhones, adding an ‘activation lock’ and ‘delete phone’ options to its Find My iPhone app back in September 2013. As a result, thefts of Apple smartphones in New York fall by 19 percent in the first five months of 2014 and by 38 percent and 24 percent in San Francisco and London respectively.

In the meantime some experts worry that software methods aren’t good enough, since hackers would be able to hijack a kill signal. And if a phone is turned off or in flight mode then it might not receive the kill signal at all. This is why some legislators are pushing for a hard kill switch which instead of rendering the phone unusable to an unauthorized user, would make it permanently unusable once stolen.
Texan Told To Remove American Flag Because It's A "Threat to Muslims"

A Texan was told by his apartment manager that he must remove his American flag hanging on his patio because it’s a “threat to the Muslim community.”
Even more, the manager of the Lodge on El Dorado in Webster, Texas released a press release to reporters stating that while management “admires our resident’s patriotism,” they must “maintain the aesthetics of our apartment community and provide for the safety of all residents.”
Somehow Duy Tran is a threat to his neighbors, particularly Muslims, for proudly displaying an American flag on his patio.
“What really stunned me is that she said it’s a threat towards the Muslim community,” he said to KHOU. “I’m not a threat toward anybody.”
He also added that he’s not taking the flag down without a fight.
“I’m gonna leave my flag there, as an American, until she shows me proof that I don’t have the right to leave my flag there,” he said. “I have friends that died for this country.”
Unfortunately, as bizarre as it sounds, the American flag is routinely targeted and attacked here in America.
Last month, for example, the Morgan Hill Unified School District in California banned students from wearing American flag clothing on Cinco de Mayo.
“The practice of limiting one group’s free speech rights because that speech might cause another group to react violently is known as the ‘heckler’s veto,’” wrote Robby Soave of the Daily Caller. “It is understood by free speech enthusiasts to have a chilling effect on First Amendment rights.”
And in Oregon, a woman who was initially threatened with eviction if she did not remove an American flag from her window was later told by her apartment manager that she could hang the “colored drape” on a flag pole.

Huffington Post contributor H.A. Goodman wants you to know that you rebel scum will never overthrow King George, so you might as well give up your dream of becoming independent colonies with liberty and justice for all:

The 2nd Amendment might state, “A well regulated Militia,” but in reality it doesn’t mean a way to combat the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Guns might protect one’s home, or enable one to hunt, or provide a symbol of freedom, but gun ownership won’t overthrow the government or change laws. What is tyrannical to you might have been a necessary Whiskey tax to George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, and what is tyrannical to me might be your desire to wage a war overseas. When the word “tyranny” is subject to so much debate, it’s best to let discourse, voting, and participation in government provide a means for change in our society.

Any illusion that owning one gun, or one hundred guns, would frighten or alter the way government behaves is not only unrealistic, but something George Washington would find unacceptable. The view propagated by the NRA that gun ownership keeps the federal government “in check” is not only historically inaccurate, but also contrary to the actions of our Founding Fathers.

Mr. Goodman presumably wrote his column on April 18, 1775, as the Founding Fathers rather convincingly proved this argument wrong the next day when American militiamen rallying to Lexington and Concord came within a hair’s breadth of annihilating elite light infantry and grenadiers drawn from ten regiments of the British Army, along with a battalion of His Majesty’s Marine Forces who were on a gun control raid, kicking off the conflict we now know as the American Revolutionary War......

WOODBURY, Conn. (CBS Hartford) – A high school student claims that a firewall is blocking conservative websites at his school.

Andrew Lampart, a senior at Nonnewaug High School, discovered that he couldn’t get on the National Rifle Association’s website while on campus as he was doing research for a classroom debate on gun control in May.

“So, I went over to the other side,” Lampart told WTIC. “And I went over on sites such as Moms Demand Action or Newtown Action Alliance and I could get on these websites but not the others.”
The 18-year-old decided to investigate further by broadening his search terms to political parties in Connecticut.

“I immediately found out that the State Democrat website was unblocked but the State GOP website was blocked,” Lampart said.

The student took it a step further and looked at websits focusing on abortion issues and religion. He discovered that “right-to-life” groups were blocked by the firewall but that Planned Parenthood and Pro-Choice America weren’t.

Lampart even tried to explore websites like Christianity.com and the Vatican’s site but they were both blocked. However, Islam-guide.com was not blocked.

“They’re trying to, in my opinion, shelter us from what’s actually going on around the country and around the world by blocking these web sites,” Lampart explained. “It should be the other way around. The websites should be unblocked so that students can get different viewpoints from different sides of each argument.”

The superintendent of Woodbury schools was notified by Lampart, but nothing was done to fix the problem after a week. He decided to take his concerns to the Board of Education on Monday.
“It’s not a joking matter in terms of having access to both sides of an issue,” Board Chairman John Chapman told WTIC.

“The Board appreciated hearing the comments from Andrew and agree that he has raised an important issue that warrants further investigation,” Chapman explained.

Well folks it may come as no surprise to you but Hitler-y Clinton showed the American people her game plan if she becomes the next president: Disarmament of the American People.

“I believe that we need a more thoughtful conversation, we cannot let a minority of people — and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people — hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” Clinton said during a CNN town hall.

Still don't believe me? Take the quote above and keep in mind Obama's drooling over Australia's gun confiscation program (that has failed) and read the next zinger from the only woman Bill Clinton hasn't slept with in the last 30 years:

“I don’t think any parent, any person, should have to fear about their child going to school or going to college because someone, for whatever reasons — psychological, emotional, political, ideological, whatever it means — could possibly enter that school property with an automatic weapon and murder innocent children, students, teachers,” Clinton said.

Are you prepared to say no? Are you prepared to stand your ground, no matter what any court or politician says is legal?

Gun confiscation is and will forever be unconstitutional and a violation of basic human rights to self-defense and the pursuit of happiness.

Is the Second Amendment Finally Outdated?

A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty.”—James Madison

From Oathkeepers.org

“Here [in New Mexico], we are moving more toward a national police force. Homeland Security is involved with a lot of little things around town. Somebody in Washington needs to call a timeout.”—Dan Klein, retired Albuquerque Police Department sergeant
If the United States is a police state, then the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is its national police force, with all the brutality, ineptitude and corruption such a role implies. In fact, although the DHS’ governmental bureaucracy may at times appear to be inept and bungling, it is ruthlessly efficient when it comes to building what the Founders feared most—a standing army on American soil.
The third largest federal agency behind the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Defense, the DHS—with its 240,000 full-time workers, $61 billion budget and sub-agencies that include the Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection, Secret Service, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)—has been aptly dubbed a “runaway train.”
In the 12 years since it was established to “prevent terrorist attacks within the United States,” the DHS has grown from a post-9/11 knee-jerk reaction to a leviathan with tentacles in every aspect of American life. With good reason, a bipartisan bill to provide greater oversight and accountability into the DHS’ purchasing process has been making its way through Congress.
A better plan would be to abolish the DHS altogether. In making the case for shutting down the de facto national police agency, analyst Charles Kenny offers the following six reasons: one, the agency lacks leadership; two, terrorism is far less of a threat than it is made out to be; three, the FBI has actually stopped more alleged terrorist attacks than DHS; four, the agency wastes exorbitant amounts of money with little to show for it; five, “An overweight DHS gets a free pass to infringe civil liberties without a shred of economic justification”; and six, the agency is just plain bloated.
To Kenny’s list, I will add the following: The menace of a national police force, a.k.a. a standing army, vested with so much power cannot be overstated, nor can its danger be ignored. Indeed, as the following list shows, just about every nefarious deed, tactic or thuggish policy advanced by the government today can be traced back to the DHS, its police state mindset, and the billions of dollars it distributes to police agencies in the form of grants.
Militarizing police and SWAT teams. The DHS routinely hands out six-figure grants to enable local municipalities to purchase military-style vehicles, as well as a veritable war chest of weaponry, ranging from tactical vests, bomb-disarming robots, assault weapons and combat uniforms. This rise in military equipment purchases funded by the DHS has, according to analysts Andrew Becker and G.W. Schulz, “paralleled an apparent increase in local SWAT teams.” The end result? An explosive growth in the use of SWAT teams for otherwise routine police matters, an increased tendency on the part of police to shoot first and ask questions later, and an overall mindset within police forces that they are at war—and the citizenry are the enemy combatants.
Spying on activists, dissidents and veterans. In 2009, DHS released three infamous reports on Rightwing and Leftwing “Extremism,” and another entitled Operation Vigilant Eagle, outlining a surveillance program targeting veterans. The reports collectively and broadly define extremists as individuals and groups “that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.” In 2013, it was revealed that DHS, the FBI, state and local law enforcement agencies, and the private sector were working together to conduct nationwide surveillance on protesters’ First Amendment activities.
Stockpiling ammunition. DHS, along with other government agencies, has been stockpiling an alarming amount of ammunition in recent years, which only adds to the discomfort of those already leery of the government. As of 2013, DHS had 260 million rounds of ammo in stock, which averages out to between 1,300 to 1,600 rounds per officer. The US Army, in contrast, has roughly 350 rounds per soldier. DHS has since requisitioned more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammo, “enough,” concludes Forbes magazine, “to sustain a hot war for 20+ years.”
Distributing license plate readers. DHS has already distributed more than $50 million in grants to enable local police agencies to acquire license plate readers, which rely on mobile cameras to photograph and identify cars, match them against a national database, and track their movements. Relying on private contractors to maintain a license plate database allows the DHS and its affiliates to access millions of records without much in the way of oversight.
Contracting to build detention camps. In 2006, DHS awarded a $385 million contract to a Halliburton subsidiary to build detention centers on American soil. Although the government and Halliburton were not forthcoming about where or when these domestic detention centers would be built, they rationalized the need for them in case of “an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs” in the event of other emergencies such as “natural disasters.” Viewed in conjunction with the NDAA provision allowing the military to arrest and indefinitely detain anyone, including American citizens, it would seem the building blocks are already in place for such an eventuality.
Tracking cell-phones with Stingray devices. Distributed to local police agencies as a result of grants from the DHS, these Stingray devices enable police to track individuals’ cell phones—and their owners—without a court warrant or court order. The amount of information conveyed by these devices about one’s activities, whereabouts and interactions is considerable. As one attorney explained: “Because we carry our cellphones with us virtually everywhere we go, stingrays can paint a precise picture of where we are and who we spend time with, including our location in a lover’s house, in a psychologist’s office or at a political protest.”
Carrying out military drills and lockdowns in American cities. Each year, DHS funds military-style training drills in cities across the country. These Urban Shield exercises, elaborately staged with their own set of professionally trained Crisis Actors playing the parts of shooters, bystanders and victims, fool law enforcement officials, students, teachers, bystanders and the media into thinking it’s a real crisis.
Using the TSA as an advance guard. The TSA now searches a variety of government and private databases, including things like car registrations and employment information, in order to track travelers’ before they ever get near an airport. Other information collected includes “tax identification number, past travel itineraries, property records, physical characteristics, and law enforcement or intelligence information.”
Conducting virtual strip searches with full-body scanners. Under the direction of the TSA, American travelers have been subjected to all manner of searches ranging from whole-body scanners and enhanced patdowns at airports to bag searches in train stations. In response to public outrage over what amounted to a virtual strip search, the TSA has begun replacing the scanners with equally costly yet less detailed models. The old scanners will be used by prisons for now.
Carrying out soft target checkpoints. VIPR task forces, comprised of federal air marshals, surface transportation security inspectors, transportation security officers, behavior detection officers and explosive detection canine teams have laid the groundwork for the government’s effort to secure so-called “soft” targets such as malls, stadiums, bridges, etc. Some security experts predict that checkpoints and screening stations will eventually be established at all soft targets, such as department stores, restaurants, and schools. DHS’ Operation Shield, a program which seeks to check up on security protocols around the country with unannounced visits, conducted a surprise security exercise at the Social Security Administration building in Leesburg, Fla., when they subjected people who went to pick up their checks to random ID checks by federal agents armed with semi-automatic weapons.
Directing government workers to spy on Americans. Terrorism Liaison Officers are firefighters, police officers, and even corporate employees who have received training to spy on and report back to government entities on the day-to-day activities of their fellow citizens. These individuals are authorized to report “suspicious activity” which can include such innocuous activities as taking pictures with no apparent aesthetic value, making measurements and drawings, taking notes, conversing in code, espousing radical beliefs, and buying items in bulk.
Conducting widespread spying networks using fusion centers. Data collecting agencies spread throughout the country, aided by the National Security Agency, fusions centers—of which there are at least 78 scattered around the U.S.— constantly monitor our communications, collecting and cataloguing everything from our internet activity and web searches to text messages, phone calls and emails. This data is then fed to government agencies, which are now interconnected: the CIA to the FBI, the FBI to local police. Despite a budget estimated to be somewhere between $289 million and $1.4 billion, these fusion centers have proven to be exercises in incompetence, often producing irrelevant, useless or inappropriate intelligence, while spending millions of dollars on “flat-screen televisions, sport utility vehicles, hidden cameras and other gadgets.”
Carrying out Constitution-free border control searches. On orders from the DHS, the government’s efforts along the border have become little more than an exercise in police state power, ranging from aggressive checkpoints to the widespread use of drone technology, often used against American citizens traveling within the country. Border patrol operations occur within 100 miles of an international crossing, putting some 200 million Americans within the bounds of aggressive border patrol searches and seizures, as well as increasingly expansive drone surveillance. With 71 checkpoints found along the southwest border of the United States alone, suspicionless search and seizures on the border are rampant. Border patrol agents also search the personal electronic devices of people crossing the border without a warrant.
Funding city-wide surveillance cameras. As Charlie Savage reports for the Boston Globe, the DHS has funneled “millions of dollars to local governments nationwide for purchasing high-tech video camera networks, accelerating the rise of a ‘surveillance society’ in which the sense of freedom that stems from being anonymous in public will be lost.” These camera systems, installed on city streets, in parks and transit systems, operating in conjunction with sophisticated computer systems that boast intelligent video analytics, digital biometric identification, military-pedigree software for analyzing and predicting crime and facial recognition software, create a vast surveillance network that can target millions of innocent individuals.
Utilizing drones and other spybots. The DHS has been at the forefront of funding and deploying surveillance robots and drones for land, sea and air, including robots that resemble fish and tunnel-bots that can travel underground. Despite repeated concerns over the danger surveillance drones used domestically pose to Americans’ privacy rights, the DHS has continued to expand its fleet of Predator drones, which come equipped with video cameras, infrared cameras, heat sensors, and radar. DHS also loans its drones out to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies for a variety of tasks, although the agency refuses to divulge any details as to how, why and in what capacity these drones are being used by police. Incredibly, the DHS has also been handing out millions of dollars in grants to local police agencies to “accelerate the adoption” of drones in their localities.
It’s not difficult to see why the DHS has been described as a “wasteful, growing, fear-mongering beast.” If it is a beast, however, it is a beast that is accelerating our nation’s transformation into a police state through its establishment of a standing army, a.k.a. national police force.
This, too, is nothing new. Historically, as I show in my book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, the establishment of a national police force has served as a fundamental and final building block for every totalitarian regime that has ever wreaked havoc on humanity, from Hitler’s all-too-real Nazi Germany to George Orwell’s fictional Oceania. Whether fictional or historical, however, the calling cards of these national police agencies remain the same: brutality, inhumanity, corruption, intolerance, rigidity, and bureaucracy—in other words, evil.

MassachusettsA radical anti-gun bill, House Bill 4121, was rammed through the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security in a rare, non-publicized electronic poll vote on Saturday, June 7.  Floor debate in the Massachusetts House of Representatives could begin as early as this week, and your immediate assistance is needed to defeat HB 4121.
HB 4121 is dangerous legislation that seeks to further strip away your Second Amendment rights in Massachusetts.  As anyone who has gone through the process to legally obtain a firearm in Massachusetts knows, there is no dearth of existing state laws that regulate the sale, purchase and transfer of firearms.  State legislators on Beacon Hill should be repealing gun control laws, NOT enacting more to further restrict your Second Amendment rights.
This egregious bill would empower police chiefs with discretion in licensing owners for shotguns and rifles, ban the private sale of firearms except through a licensed gun dealer, grant authority to the state Attorney General to remove certain firearms from the approved “firearms roster” and require gun owners to provide a list of all firearms they currently own to the state with each renewal of their license.
These requirements are only a few of the many onerous and deeply flawed provisions that penalize responsible gun owners and sportsmen in Massachusetts and could turn law-abiding citizens into criminals.  Unfortunately, it seems as though the misguided Massachusetts General Court won’t stop until they have completely obliterated your rights.  As we’ve seen in other states, such as New York, these controversial registration schemes begin the slide down a slippery slope toward eventual confiscation.  Historical evidence clearly proves that gun registration enables gun confiscation, and criminals never register their firearms.
HB 4121 was introduced less than three weeks ago by House Speaker Robert DeLeo (D-Winthrop), and it seems that he is attempting to quietly jam this legislation through the process without adequate time and opportunity for public comment.

Mindful Patriot's Comment:
In Political Termsuseful idiot is a term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they are not fully aware of, and who are used cynically by the leaders of the cause.  While these folks are marching for what they consider is a good cause, is actually quite the opposite. Disarming Americans will only lead to more death and higher crime rates, this has been proven in other countries with strict gun control.

Gun control group marching over Brooklyn Bridge NEW YORK (AP) -- Some carried photos of loved ones cut down by a bullet. Others held signs imploring Congress to act. And nearly all shouted out "Not one more," a tear-stained rallying cry embraced by those who believe the U.S. needs tougher gun control laws.
More than 1,000 demonstrators - including nearly 100 from Newtown, Connecticut, the site of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting rampage - marched across the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday, demanding that action be taken to stem the recent wave of mass shootings across the U.S.
"I want to see our laws protect our children, not our gun lobbyists," said Andrew Morosky, 48, who lives in Newtown and whose children were friends with some of the 20 students who were killed along with six educators. "After what happened, I felt like I had to do something. I sat on the sidelines for too long."......

‘Inventing terrorists’: New study reveals FBI set up terrorism-related prosecutions

Nearly 95 per cent of terrorist arrests have been the result of FBI foiling its own entrapment plots as a part of the so-called post-9/11 War on Terror, a new study revealed.

According to the report entitled ‘Inventing Terrorists: The Lawfare of Preemptive Prosecution’, the majority of arrests involved the unjust prosecution of targeted Muslim Americans.

The 175-page study by Muslim advocacy group SALAM analyzes 399 individuals in cases included on the list of the US Department of Justice from 2001 to 2010.

“According to this study’s classification, the number of preemptive prosecution cases is 289 out of 399, or 72.4 percent. The number of elements of preemptive prosecution cases is 87 out of 399, or 21.8 percent. Combining preemptive prosecution cases and elements of preemptive prosecution cases, the total number of such cases on the DOJ list is 376, or 94.2 percent,” the report concluded.

The authors define ‘preemptive prosecution’ as “a law enforcement strategy adopted after 9/11, to target and prosecute individuals or organizations whose beliefs, ideology, or religious affiliations raise security concerns for the government.”

Nearly 25 percent of cases (99 of 399) contained material support charges. Another almost 30 per cent of cases consisted of conspiracy charges. More than 17 per cent of the analyzed cases (71 of 399 cases) involved sting operations. Over 16 percent of cases (65 of 399 cases) included false statement or perjury charges, and around six percent of cases involved immigration-related charges.
According to the report, since 9/11 only 11 cases posed “potentially significant” threat to the United States.
“Only three were successful (the [Tamerlan and Dzhokhar] Tsarnaev brothers and Major Nidal Hasan), accounting for 17 deaths and several hundred injuries,” the paper says.
One of the FBI’s strategies involved “using agents provocateur to actively entrap targets in criminal plots manufactured and controlled by the government.”
“The government uses agents provocateur to target individuals who express dissident ideologies and then provides those provocateurs 25 with fake (harmless) missiles, bombs, guns, money, encouragement, friendship, and the technical and strategic planning necessary to see if the targeted individual can be manipulated into planning violent or criminal action,” the report concluded.
The government could also choose to use “minor ‘technical’ crimes,” such as errors on immigration forms, an alleged false statement to a government official, gun possession, tax or financial issues, etc., to go after someone for their “ideology.”
“What they were trying to do is to convince the American public that there is this large army of potential terrorists that they should all be very-very scared about. They are very much engaged in world-wide surveillance and this surveillance is very valuable to them. They can learn a lot about all sorts of things and in a sense control issues to their advantage,” Steven Downs, an attorney for Project SALAM, which issued the report, told RT. “And the entire legal justification for that depends on there being a war on terror. Without a war on terror they have no right to do this. So they have to keep this war on terror going, they have to keep finding people and arresting them and locking them up and scarring everybody.”
In the conclusion, authors of the report offered the US government several recommendations that the DOJ “should employ” to change the present unfair terrorism laws. A total seven recommendations call on the US government to accurately identify people who offer material support for terrorism, strengthening the “entrapment” defense in the courts; abolish “terror-enhanced sentencing” that triples or quadruples jail time in cases linked to terrorist acts; disallow secret court proceedings, and immediately notifying defendants if any evidence in their case is derived from secret surveillance.

In the same interview where President Barack Obama blatantly lied about background checks, he praised Australia’s gun control laws, which Charles  C.W. Cooke notes relied entirely upon confiscation:
Let me be clear, as Obama likes to say: You simply cannot praise Australia’s gun-laws without praising the country’s mass confiscation program. That is Australia’s law. When the Left says that we should respond to shootings as Australia did, they don’t mean that we should institute background checks on private sales; they mean that they we should ban and confiscate guns.
When President Obama praises gun confiscation, he’s praising the blatantly-unconstitutional infringement of the Second Amendment by the federal government. Let’s not mince words here: he’s supporting a policy, that if he or any future government attempted to implement it, will lead to a nationwide armed insurrection that would likely destroy our government and our way of life.
We’ve read articles before praising the theory of confiscation, and note the disturbing mindset of those who would see Americans stripped of their most basic of  human rights—the right to self-defense—under the threat of overwhelming government force.
Some have such a visceral hatred for gun owners that they seem to relish the thought of their fellow Americans being slaughtered (indeed, that seems to be the continuing hope of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, who have repeatedly referred to gun owners as “insurrectionists”).
These vengeful, hate-filled souls seem to have a fantasy that such a conflict would be a 1860s-style affair, where armed citizens resisting would line up in neat rows in an open field to be mowed down by government tanks and helicopters, much to their shrieking delight.
Those sick souls advocating for gun confiscation and civil strife seem to think that such a conflict would be something that would happen to “someone else.” They seem to have it in their minds that others in the military and law enforcement would do the dirty work of making their fantasies come to life, and that when the dust settled, they’d have a gun free nation, at no cost to themselves.
That is decidedly not how such a conflict would be fought, nor is it likely that they survive to see such an outcome.
They seem to forget that a significant percentage of the military and law enforcement officers that would be charged with enforcing their unconstitutional edicts are themselves, “gun nuts.” This is particularly true among the combat arms units within the military, police SWAT/ERT units and most sheriff’s departments, from the Sheriff’s themselves down through the ranks of their deputies.
Almost all of these individuals—currently, roughly 2 million soldiers, Marines, airmen, guardsmen, and reserves, and 800,000 law enforcement officers—swore their oaths to defend the Constitution, not any particular government, political party, or administration.
A significant number of would resign outright if the government ordered them to confiscate the arms of America citizens. Many others would defect as opportunity allowed, bringing along their expertise, intelligence, and perhaps their weaponry to wage war against the government. Others would remain on the job, but would not enforce the confiscation orders with any enthusiasm, and might stay on the job merely to pass along intelligence to their allies fighting on the side of the Constitution.
Those that defect would join a resistance composed of recently detached military combat veterans from the Afghan and Iraq wars with an intimate knowledge of insurgency and counterinsurgency tactics. It is impossible to know just how many of these veterans or others among the 80 million gun owners in this nation would choose to participate in active or passive resistance, but the figure would almost assuredly dwarf the number of poorly trained insurgents our military faced overseas in battles that continue to this day.
The remaining combined forces of government, now numbering something less than 1.5 million, would be charged with securing a nation of 318 million souls and 3.794 million square miles, not knowing who their enemies are, knowing that they and their families would be targets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 a year, every year, in a war without front lines, a clearly defined enemy, or rules of engagement.

From Bearingarms.com
In the last few weeks and in the coming months leading up to state elections this fall, you will hear the liberal candidates ramble on about how raising the minimum wage will help the economy grow and that global warming is real and dangerous, so we must punish industry for their evil pollution by taxing and laying down more restrictive policies  i.e. cutting emissions from coal power plants by 30%.

I hate to break the news for the all the moon bats out there in la-la land, but making small business pay more for unskilled labor will only carry the increased cost to the consumer, causing the cost of living to increase proportionate to the increase of pay. On the flip side, government "stay at home benefits" will have to increase to cover the increased cost of living, leaving our country more in debt and less able to pay for vital defense costs which constitutionally is the most important job of government.

No matter if you believe in Global Warming or not, one fact should be clear to all liberty loving Americans, taxing corporations for pollution WILL NOT help fight to protect the environment.  For instance, how Obama has circumvented the Congress by directing the EPA to set standards to force coal powered power plants to invest BILLIONS to meet the standard, which will force energy costs to raise dramatically across the board that will only make Americans have less money to reinvest in the economy.

Why are Americans buying this?

Fear, misinformation and class warfare.

Fear- Americans are growing fearful of each other because of the media push to saturate the American Media with the worst acts of violence and greed and not show the flip side of Americans banding together and stopping violent acts from occurring, meanwhile demonizing those who are by labeling Patriots and the Liberty Movement as terrorists.

Misinformation- Remember Al Gore and the
other idiots crying the sky is falling with increased
temperatures  (for the last ten years has not raised) and more powerful storms that will kill millions......all lies to force opinion in their favor by fear not logic. Google how much Al Gore made from Carbon credits for proof.

Class warfare- Liberals while being the most wealthy class of politicians, constantly bash the Republican Party for rubbing elbows with the "top 1%" and not caring about the little guy, when in fact, it is the other way around. The wolf in sheep's clothing comes to mind.

Why is the current government(Obama) pushing climate change and wage increases?

Combine the increased cost of energy with increased cost of labor and you have all but killed job creation and the U.S. Economy in one large swoop. When any population becomes dependent on government benefits to survive you have effectively created a voting base who has no choice but to vote for those who oppress them, which effectively kills the voice of the American people and meaningful reform. Don't forget gun control either.....

Look at immigration and how Obama is allowing MILLIONS of illegals to move in. Why?

Obama and the Democrats want to create voters, hence the push against Voter ID laws.  Another point that isn't being stressed is how many of these illegal criminals are terrorists from known enemies? Given the numbers, there could be major attacks on all major cities at once and there is no way to know because the safety of non-Americans is more important than that of Americans who our elected officials have sworn to protect.

How do we roll back government and rein in the power back to the people?

We must protest and actively become involved in the political process by any means. We must vote out anyone who wants to curb any rights given by god to the American People. Vote smart, be diligent and keep your aim true. Most importantly, when a friend, co-worker or family member brings up the myths about global warming or wage increases, please take the time to inform them of the truth and how what they're saying will only hurt our country.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

Obama Claims Gun Violence 'Off the Charts'

“Levels of gun violence are off the charts,” Obama said. ” There is no advanced developed country on Earth that would put up with this.”

Obama argued that Americans should be “ashamed,” using the opportunity to bemoan his inability to pass gun control legislation.

“We’re the only country in the world where this happens and it happens once a week,” Obama said.

Obama went on to refute any link between mass shootings and mental health as well, instead blaming the ability of Americans to collect ammunition.

“It’s not the only country that has psychosis, and yet we kill each other in these mass shootings at rates that are exponentially higher than anyplace else,” Obama said. ” What’s the difference? The difference is these guys can stack up a bunch of ammunition in their houses.”

Invoking his role as parent, Obama also pushed the notion that American gun owners are collectively responsible for mass shootings.

“This country has to do a lot of soul searching,” Obama said. “This is becoming the norm. And we take it for granted in ways that, as a parent, are terrifying to me.”

The President even went as far as praising Australia’s gun confiscation program, claiming that “very severe” gun laws have helped the country.

“Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown,” Obama said. “And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.”

Earlier that day, White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters that the President is “always” looking for ways to “unilaterally” act on gun control.

The rash of insane gunmen targeting gun-free zones and the ever increasing demonetization of the liberty movement, including labeling "Don't Tread On Me" as a terrorist slogan and the whole exclamation that the patriot movement is a bigger threat to the U.S. than Muslim Terrorists. It is clear, the progressive-statists want all opposition to be defenseless and voiceless.  This can be seen even clearer with the targeting of conservative/libertarian alternative media and labeling them as being responsible for any bad guy that decides to kill innocents. One also cannot forget the queen of the gun grab Dianne Feinstein, who has tried to silence the 1st amendment by defining a journalist as a paid, mass media agent. Leaving you and this blog not protected by the 1st amendment. If that doesn't scary you, than you're one cold mutha-lover.

When I was a young kid, I loved to play connect the dots and seeing what would appear when I was finished. Sadly, now the dots are being connected and it is very scary what is appearing before us all. Liberals and some conservatives either knowingly or unknowingly are paving the way for checks and balances and the people's voice to be silenced with violent force if needed with little fear of any resistance, if they get away with disarming us.  While 90% of those who Rush calls "low information voters" honestly believe disarming the country would usher in a new wave of peace and free hugs, it will not.

History is full of examples where the people gave up their right to be armed and suffered the worst fates in history. I will not list these historical facts, because I know those who read this are educated and know the risks.

I have been asked numerous times by readers or anti-gunners:

"Do you think Obama will throw you in a FEMA camp and take your guns?" "..are you paranoid that much?"

"My response is and always no I do not fear for my future, it probably won't happen while I am breathing, but what about my children and grand children?"

If they disarm us now, what will be the fate of future Americans when a really bad guy is in office and wants to appoint himself king or dictator? I for one want my children to have all the freedoms I have enjoyed and most importantly, I want them to be able to defend themselves against any threat to their happiness and freedom.  It is up to us to educate and inform our neighbors, friends and family about the seriousness of current events. What we do now will forever shape tomorrow.

Keep your head up and stand strong. MOLON LABE

On June 7, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America founder Shannon Watts said a good guy with a gun "has never" stopped a bad guy with a gun.

Watts made this comment in response to a question from CNN host Victor Blackwell.
I want to challenge you on something Shannon. Wayne LaPierre, executive director of the NRA, after Sandy Hook, said the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. And I think, essentially [what guns rights proponents are saying] is [they] want their wives to be able to carry--to be the good person with the gun. Is there an example in school shootings or a mall shooting or these public facilities, where that has been wrong? Where a bad guy with a gun has been stopped in any other way or by a person other than a law enforcement officer with a gun or by killing himself?
Watts responded: "This has never happened. Data shows it doesn't happen."
